They take so long to tie though and so much material but man do they have great action

@126263067826716 they do take quite a bit of feathers and shanks. However, material prep is key to these flies I have found. 3 feathers stacked and joined x6 before putting the first shank in the vice saved me about 10 minutes or so. I have tied a lot of these over the past week or so and I gotta say it sounds weird but prepping first then tying versus doing it while tying does save a lot of time. You would think it would even out but it does not.

Thanks @davenorris I also have never used the feathers always brushes on them how do you like feathers vs brushes?

@126263067826716 well I’ve done both. The feathers in my opinion have more action. Also I have found that with the brushes it is a heck of a lot of cutting. Lol. Both are amazing though.
