Thanks for asking Martin. I have listed the materials I use below. It is a simple fly, but this is often my go to sub surface pattern for trout on the rivers I fish. Especially when fishing prior to a hatch. The flashback mimics bubble formation that takes place in many mayfly species before they ascend to the surface to emerge.
Hook: 3xL sz 16
Tail: Ringneck pheasant tail fibers
Abdomen: Wound pheasant tail fibers topped with a single strand of pearl krystal flash
Rib: small bright copper wire
Thorax: Peacock herl
Shellback: XL pearl flashabou
Legs: Pheasant tail fibers
