The top one isn’t actually bent, I was just testing out how to tie it. To bend them, I just stuck four of five hooks in a shop vise, clamping them down 1/4 the length from the eye to the bend, put a nail through all the bends, and pulled back.

Sz 4 hook, peacock chenille, poly yarn, buck tail

I like that innovation of the nail to do multiple hooks at a time Ryan. Must provide much better consistency than bending one at a time with a pliers. I’m always learning new tricks here. Thanks.

@trublubug . Yeah, I thought it was time effective. I’ve wondered what this does to the integrity of the hooks though. Any thoughts?

I’ve been custom bending hooks for ages Ryan. If you buy good steel, it stays strong even when it’s been bent. Can’t say the same for some of the bargains I’ve tried though.
