#andersson Henrik, i don’t debate either politics or religion. I consider the “if only one fly” question fitting both catagories. 😛.
I’ve already stated a preference here in past posts. I’m religiously attached to ant patterns believing that trout are genetically programmed to eat them. I’m not one for political correctness either and have caught most of my really large trout on ant patterns despite the “big minnow-big fish theory.
I was “formerly” involved with a tying group that debated the most minuscule variations and their effects on fly patterns. At times, I’ve indulged myself with being “provocative” here to stimulate the thoughts of others and hopefully gain insights from all the great tyers who share their ideas.
It’s all in fun for me but my “former” associates could get so caught up in their own points of view that I moved on. FlyFlasher has been a wonderful place to learn and share.
I like the helpful folks here. I’m staying out of the debate. LOL.
everyone have her‘s/his favourite pattern. This discussion will never end 😂. We are all here to learn from each other and it’s a great way to see patterns from all over the world. This is the first platform who is really kind to and with everyone. And it’s always a respectful handling here!
On FlyFlasher.com you can find 36,364 flies from all over the world. Flash your own fly patterns, upload your current work or search for inspiration. The flies are tagged, so you easily can search for them.
