Extra large homemade bead eyes. I liked Charlie Snowdon’s articulated big eye damsel so much. Had to try my own variation.

The articulated, extended abdomen is made by wrapping marabou fiber dubbing around a piece of fly line backing. Attached to the rear of a scud style hook so it can swing freely. Cover the connection with a bit of wing case and continue the dubbing to form the thorax. A few strands of marabou fibers for the legs to keep the tying materials to a minimum.

Two large beads connected with mono to create a dumbbell.

Hi #brett #hulen. I agree, should be a carp killer. Check out a previous post titled Blown Away LaBomba for a proven carp killer that’s really easy to tie. My carp like small orange or burnt orange flies that mimic damsel nymphs.
