Variant of “Cheetos for Panfish” fly posted by Martin Burch.
After tying a batch using Martin’s original recipe (ginger hackle, burnt orange body, green wire, silver wire ribbing), I had to start fiddling with the pattern (of course).
This one uses an orange dyed grizzly hackle, a pearl crystal flash rib in place of the silver wire, and the body is a bright orange, all tied on a 3xl curved shank hook.
One of several variants that all mimic Martin’s excellent original. Color changes, various wing case materials, etc.,etc. help me to keep tying what I think will be an excellent fly for my waters. I get bored tying too many of the same pattern. ?
