Here’s what they look like dry. Great pattern, easy tie and from what I hear, very affective in the later evenings. Can’t wait to fish it this summer. Below 0 temperatures coming this weekend in the Midwestern U.S. so I’ll be trying to tie more of these..........unless I am able to get out ice fishing. Lol!
Some buddies and I just started mouse fishing this past summer. The Master Splinter was by far the best pattern we all tried, probably 3-1 on the strikes compared to other patterns. One thing I do with mine is cut a slit right down the middle of the tag end at the collar. This causes the foam tag to split into 2 sections that looks like ears.
