This was a fly that I copied from a fly that’s on eBay.
Was told the origin may be from the Northern Tyne area.
On a size 1.5 vintage iron.
I tied this as a true classic fully gutted, lashed with silk and wax.
Tie in a wide slip of woody for the underwing.
Envelope those with unbarred woody ( lemon) brush them out with a toothbrush, stroke them back together with your finger. Then envelope or roof the wing with pheasant tail. I do this to make it looked fished or vintage. Have any questions feel free to ask
