This was a fly that I copied from a fly that’s on eBay.
Was told the origin may be from the Northern Tyne area.
On a size 1.5 vintage iron.
I tied this as a true classic fully gutted, lashed with silk and wax.

Nice! I like a lot the wing style. Is it possible to get a few guidelines about how it is made?

Sure mate... Tie in a wide slip of woody for the underwing. Envelope those with unbarred woody ( lemon) brush them out with a toothbrush, stroke them back together with your finger. Then envelope or roof the wing with pheasant tail. I do this to make it looked fished or vintage. Have any questions feel free to ask

Thanks! I will try it. Have been checking on mixed wings but couldn't find much on it. Some you made look mixed but with everything on its place, what is very nice.
