I don't know if my question posed about this pattern on one of your previous post provoked this attempt or not, but I do appreciate your tying it and posting it here very much. I'd only seen one of these tied previously as a display case fly. That version had a variation that I found impressive. The tyer used real Indian crow on the upper shank to match the placement of the jungle cock below the shank. While this did tend to veil the body a good bit (by the way, your body work is superb on this), it really made me stop and stare when I saw the fly the first time. Most tyers use jungle cock to dress the upper shank when it's done with both upper and lower dressing. The Indian crow substitution knocked me out.
