Recipie?

Catch a lot of fish with these Jorge. I use these during summer and fall. Same foam material except I substitute very fine sili-legs sewn through the body and left long to dangle and wiggle. They are just deadly as imitations for any beetle. Do you dub an underbody on these Jorge? I used to use flash dubbing mixed to look mostly black but still with a touch of iridescent purple and green mixed in. The trout in my home waters tend to be “sparkle” shy (although not in too many other places). I stopped dubbing the underbody and got more strikes. The foam has a black side under that iridescent green so it’s a very quick “kamikaze” fly for me.

Thought I’d add another thought Jorge. If this is “loco” foam and you want extra floatation, try sticking the glue side of the loco foam to a piece of 2mm craft store foam in black. Cut a slit in the craft store foam and superglue the entire body to the hook shank (build a tread base on shank before gluing). Then just use the tying thread to

Damn clumsy fingers!!! Use tying thread to creat body segments and sew the sili-legs through the foam. Takes only a few minutes per fly and you can’t sink them with an anchor.
