Great look despite the myriad imperfections Thomas.
Are you kidding me. What isn’t perfect in your eyes? Always great to see your work. I’m trusting you are keeping safe and have good health.
We are physically fine but being under house arrest for 6 weeks now is starting to take a toll. I’ve filled lots of requests for flies for friends and “dabbled” with a few new patterns.
I’m not much of a fan of television except for certain sporting events especially boxing. Don’t know that I ever mentioned it to you l, but I boxed in college and a bit in the Army. Despite my enjoying watching boxing, I’m pretty well worn out on watching fights from decades ago. After a repetition or two, I start thinking about how I would try to beat the winner of the fight I just saw.
These thoughts are pure insanity as my timing and reflexes are not what they were when I was in my 20’s. Good thing casting a fly rod doesn’t take any skills. LOL LOL LOL. Please take care of yourself and keep on posting here.
@trublubug Thanks for compliments Bill!
Many things should be better with this fly, but its not bad. I am very happy with my efforts on this fly. I would like the silk to be smoother, the butt to be a little better shape although it doesnt look bad, the wing to be more in line, the toucan veilings to have a little more rounded shape, etc. That doesnt mean the fly is bad. I am pleased!
I am well here. As the situation is well under control in Norway, i am not grounded. I can leave my house at any time and go fishing if i want to. I did so yesterday and today. Limited contact with other people though. Thats OK for me. Im a really introverted guy, so that is no problem. I actually benefit from it.
I did not know this from your youth! I myself have a Black belt in WT taekwondo, and compete a lot. I dont watch much sporting Events anymore, as i am the type to enjoy doing it, and not watching someone Else do it. I have Tried boxing, but its not for me. I prefer kicking, as i am much better at it.
I am less worried for my own health at this time, but i keep myself from beeing a risk to anyone Else. I know several people who are at a lot greater risk than me. Someone i know cant visit his father in any way, as his father is already very ill. ALS is nothing to joke about. Expected lifetime with the disease is 5 years, and if you stop being active, it takes less time. He has had it for over 8 years.
Stay safe, Bill! I want to see many more posts from you here!
