I think I'll quit fooling with this now. I like the fins better and the overall shape. Would like your opinion please.

This is looking awesome. The barred edge is just like starry flounder I have in WA state bet this would work great around here

Nick, if you decide to tie this pattern, I'd be very grateful to hear the results. I've got a few being tested in the Atlantic and would like to know more about their effectiveness on your side.

That is a stunning tie - what's the ingredients list? I'm sure that would work for European Bass on this side of the pond and will work at emulating it for next spring. Thanks for sharing.

Kevin, this pattern is My Own Modification (MOMs) of a baby flounder tie I found on the net. Type "flounder around fly" in your browser for the basic tying methods. I changed the materials a bit on this version. The barred side fins are yellow dyed grizzly feathers. The tail is barred mallard dyed yellow with some strands of flash. If you need more info after checking out the website, let me know. Always glad to help.

Kevin, I've been thinking of an easier way to tie baby flounder. I've seen some internet posts that use DNA Holofusion for the bodies. I'm wondering if a Fish head Sculpin Helmet wouldn't make a really simple tie. I envision the helmet followed by side to side tying of the Holofusion fibers. Trim to flounder shape and color with permanent markers. Haven't gotten around to trying this yet. If you do, please post a photo. Thanks.
