After repeatedly ending up with hook hanging from my thread, and not the other way around, from starter vise I got. I decided to upgrade to something I’d only have to buy once.

Is that the Renzetti Traveler? I got it for Christmas and I can’t believe I tied without it for so long. Awesome awesome vice!!

@jredwine yes sir it is. Really like it. Went with the regular finish and no powder coat to save a few bucks. I’ve only recently started tying again this March after a 20 year break and the econo-vise I had really liked to spit hooks out. Any tips and tricks for this vise, or some must have accessories?

Well, many recommend the material clip, but I find other ways to keep materials under control. You’ll soon wonder how you ever tied without rotary capabilities after tying with your new Renzetti. I promise it won’t ever spit hooks out on you. 😂

Hope you have many enjoyable hours with it. I certainly enjoy using mine. But if the material clip becomes a problem for you, like it did for me, look at the one Peak sells. I mounted it with some 2mm foam and it’s sitting snug. Again, enjoy that new puppy!
