How do you get the tan and brown to not mix?

This tan is Owl feather(I know it's protected animals but i found ouonce in forest couple feathers and i'm using it only on special flies).

Really nice looking fly! Am I correct in assuming you wrapped the feather over the dubbing?

Thank you.Yes i wrapp the feather over dubbing now i can post a picture of Wet fly so you can imagine how it will lookout.
