I can see why... Looks fishy and I'm sure it swims like crazy. What is the head made of? What's size hooks do you tie these in usually?

Hey Andrew. This fly is made entirely of pheasant. The head is an aftershaft feather from a pheasant rump feather. Tail is a clump of fibers from a pheasant rump. Hackle is a pheasant rump feather. It is very buggy!

This one was tied on a size 4 salmon hook. I have also tied them in small sizes for panfish. Definitely a multi species fly.
