Just threadbody and a cdc-tip. All on a 16sized hook. It was a tie from despairing and frustrated fishing in Austria where everything else was ignored instead of this pattern So it take Place in my box for next year.

Very cool!....I like those simple effective patterns!...I tie something similar using pheasant tail for body with CDC wing!...

@troutslayor we used all our flies. And this came up with a few beers 😂. I don’t fish dries not that often. But in the future I will do this!

I am the same, the majority of my fish are taken below the surface. Once in a while I feel nastulgic, break out the split cane silk line and search out fish feeding from the top!...🎣

I got a Fosters. Lots of fun to fish with and my first splitcane. Awesome smooth casting. I like it a lot!
