Second go round with the same pattern on a size 22 Dai Riki Hook with a Dime for comparison

This is very nicely done. Great exercise in downsizing. Always fun to tie these. Finding suitably small materials to keep everything in proportion is one major obstacle. I tried cutting the green fibers off the peacock hurl and dubbing them onto the tying thread to keep the “bumps” smaller. Didn’t like the result one bit. Now I find using synthetic materials in “peacock” let me downsize more easily. Still a challenge on the tiny hooks. This one looks great. Thanks for posting it.

Great job on this! Have you ever tried tying this with a white wing post from synthetic fibre or calf tail for extra visibility? Or is it basically just invisible at this size regardless? Thanks

Hey @Krawec, I haven’t tried fishing with it yet however I was thinking about how it may be even better as a Royal Wolff rather than a Coachman, due to the 2 white “Here I am!” Wings, and thank you for the compliment I really appreciate it!

Thanks, let me know if you get the chance to tie the Royal Wolff in this size and see which is more visible. You're very welcome, this tie deserves the compliment.
