I've been having much success with the Saito-san Special dry fly recently (see provirus post of the rust colored dry fly), so today I'm tying some Rusty Japanese Lanterns to see if the local trout are keying in on the color. My number one fly, the one that I fish with and have pre-tied to practically all my Tenkara lines is the Olive Japanese Lantern ... I have caught more trout with the "OJL" fishing the Merced here in Yosemite (and Colorado) than any other Tenkara Kebari. Going to give Rusty a whirl. #tenkara #sakasakebari #japaneselanternsakasakebari #flytying #flyfishing #yosemite #yosemitenationalpark #mercedriver #california #canonusa #macro

Best of luck John. You sound a bit like me in one respect. Just have to know the "why" for your success don't you? LOL

This looks very interesting, I do like the idea of the olive version. Tight lines
