Excellent color blend with your choice of materials Patrik. Does the peacock hold up very well for you? It always looks so great on a newly tied fly, but sure gets chewed off quickly. I’ve tried Hareline Ice Fiber and Hareline Dubbin Ice Fur as substitutes. IMHO, while they both hold up to predators far better than natural peacock, they just don’t seem quite right. Have you ever used a substitute for natural peacock?

Hej @trublubug ! Thank You🙏🤗 No, the peacock is very fragile - unfortunately. But as You write - it looks really great as long it still is ”attached” to the fly. Haven’t tried antsubstitute yet - despite the Steve Farrar Blend and Shimmer Fringe in peacock colour (but Shimmer Fringe is very fragile aswell). I’ve tried to take some ”strands” of peacock and weaved them with tyingthread - it’s more durable, but becomes more stiff. Thank You for the advice with Ice Fiber/Ice Fur - I’ll give it a try👍
