This isn't a completed fly, it's the first step of an experiment I'm trying. I'm essentially trying to recreate the action of a jigging rap or snap jig with a fly. Many of you probably know and have used the rapala jigging rap or berkley snap jig, baits used by spin fisherman that kick side to side when twitched due to a plastic v shaped tail. I think that by adding a similar plastic v tail on to a clouser minnow, I may be able to achieve the same action. I cut this tail out of some hard plastic, and attached it with superglue and some epoxy to keep it down. It's drying right now, but I will post the finished fly after and do a swim test with an update.
