Right silhoutteand proportions Joseph. Should get you hooked up.
I like tying my stonefly nymphs with hook points up. If you are looking to fish this during an emergence period, allowing the fly to dead drift downstream and then swing into the shallow water, I’ve found that I get fewer bottom hang ups with the hook point up.
Most stonefly species crawl into the shallows and up onto debris, sticks, or rocks to emerge. I’m suggesting you fish this imitation mimicking that emergence pattern.
The pattern should work quite well.
