Every so often they want an Emerger that's almost off the water. Maybe it's a "last chance" thing? The body on this is a very narrow strip of electronics foam wrapped as the abdomen and thorax. Snowshoe rabbit wing (dun). A peacock herl fiber (one) is wrapped around the tying thread and then wrapped as a thorax lightly over the foam. Not for everyday use but sometimes........well that's how the want the fly.
Thanks Jorge. Sometimes even the large BWO flies can be an enigma. They won't take a beautiful little dun sitting just perfectly on the surface but they will gorge on an ugly fly half way to becoming one.
