a pattern from Jay Fishy Fullom. Used foam from a canned beverage cozy. shoe goo is the adhesive of choice. This is a big bug. Size 4 5X streamer hook. Waiting for warm weather! #bass

Looks great Martin. Did you use a metal flake beverage cozy? I got several of them at the local craft store with glitter on them. Chartreuse, pink, purple, and black. These are so durable it's amazing. Even the snot rockets (pickerel) can't chew them up. Warmer weather? What is that? It was -2 with wind chills at -25 here this morning.

Havent seen the metal flake ones Bill. I bought about a dozen of cozies at a garage sale. Sports bar went out of business and they were available in orange, red chartreuse and yellow. I thought ...bass bugs... and plopped down two bucks.

It's really a terrible addiction we've got. Is there anything we see that isn't instantly judged for its tying potential. LOL.

Considering that I have tied streamers from hair plucked from my beagles butt... Nothing is sacred when it comes to fly tying. Caught fish with it too!

LOL. I used Black Lab, Maine Coon cat, and that lovely cream colored fluff from our little Golden Retriever. Am I evil or what?

My wife gives me a nasty look when I start playing with her cats tail and thinning out the underfur.

Here's a tip to avoid that " nasty look" BK. Use a fine hair brush available at the dollar store on Mr. Kitty. You can brush the whole cat and get enough underfur to last a season. My Maine Coon cat was a big boy with a dark coat. You need a soft grayish brown dubbing that spins like a dream (who doesn't), this or maybe I should say "he" was it. LOL
