WINTERTON
2/0 vintage iron
Named after Lord Winterton ( 1837-1907) a member of the 50 lb club. This pattern has been looked over by many but, tied by Malloch. Described as having a typical fly shop wing of blue, red, yellow swan, GP tail, bustard, pintail and mallard.
There is also another recipe of mixed fibers , tippets, teal .
I followed the recipe and picture in the Hardy ( O’Keefe) which showed a magenta butt; also a few turns of dyed yellow guinea throat.
